What to do with unfinished work???

Ever wonder how to keep track of your students' unfinished work???  Over the years my co-teachers and I have used many different ways from clipping work on the side of their desk with magnets to folder in their seat sack (sack on the back of their chair).  However these were not by any means succesful.  A view years ago we got the idea to put their work in binders with clear plastic sheets.  We numbered the sheets and each student got their own.  When it was time to start a subject, students would go to one of the two binders and put their unfinished work in it.  We also used it for any corrections or absent work as well.  They have been the easiest and best way to keep track of unfinished work!  A quick look through and you know who has unfinished work and who doesn't!

  2. Hmmmm. This is a very interesting idea! I could never figure out a way to keep track of unfinished work with my first graders. Maybe this will be a good way to keep track of it with my Fab 4th's!
